Bill grew up in Virginia and moved to Oregon in 1968 to attend Willamette University. After a short career in journalism, he graduated from the Northwestern School of Law in 1985 and without delay joined Hershner Hunter. He became a accomplice in 1990.
Bill served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Estate Planning and Administration Section for 9 years.
