Bill was raised within the Lakeland Highland in Polk County, Florid. He attended Summerlin Institute, now called Bartow High college.
He attended Polk Community College, now referred to as Polk State College in Winter Haven, Florida in which he graduated with honors and was selected for Who’s in American Junior College. Bill then attended Florida State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968. He went on to wait the Florida State University of Law, graduating with honors in 1973.
He worked for the Lawyer General’s Office during Law School, dealing with criminal appeals for the State of Florida. During his Law School years he additionally assisted in re-writing the tenure of the Florida County Commissioners Manual and authored the bankruptcy on Home Rule. His first employment become a element-time Polk County Lawyer and part-time public defender in Polk County. He then became a complete-time public defender because of his passion for trial exercise and he attempted 23 jury trial and plenty of greater non-jury trials for the duration of his stint there.
He then became Chief Assistant Prosecutor for Highlands County in December 1975, wherein he handled 45 jury trials and nicely over one hundred non-jury trials. Bill has been in personal practice because 1978; dealing in criminal, circle of relatives and civil trial exercise for decades and in criminal trial exercise for the remaining decade. Bill has attempted 1st degree murders, 2d diploma murder, manslaughter, vehicular murder, drug smuggling, sexual battery and all forms of misdemeanor cases, both as a prosecutor and as a defense lawyer. Bill belongs to the Highlands County Bar Association in addition to the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
