Walter Metzen is a Board Certified Specialist in Consumer Bankruptcy through the American Board of Certification and represents customer and small enterprise debtors in financial disaster cases in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Mr. Metzen earned his bachelor of science degree in Forensic Science at Michigan State University and his regulation degree from the University of Detroit. Mr. Metzen is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Consumer Bankruptcy Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute and has been a guest lecturer on financial disaster and debtor/creditor topics on the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He has served as a speaker for the Consumer Bankruptcy Association, the Institute for Continuing Legal Education as well as serving as a member of the subcommittee chargeable for drafting revisions to neighborhood financial ruin rules. Mr. Metzen has filed over 10000 bankruptcy instances for individuals and married couples within the Detroit place over the last two decades.
