Tim A. Tarter is president of the U.S. law workplace Woolston & Tarter, P.C. Mr. Tarter formerly served as an IRS Senior Lawyer and as a Special Assistant United States Lawyer. Mr. Tarter’s country wide tax dispute decision practice focuses on all aspects of IRS audit protection, IRS administrative agreement negotiations and U.S. Tax Court litigation, along with crook and international tax topics. Mr. Tarter resolves disputes in all three Federal tax boards: U.S. Tax Court, Federal District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Most currently, he lead his trial crew inside the Avrahami case, the primary micro-captive (831(b)) case litigated in U.S. Tax Court. Recently named via Captive Review magazine as an Enterprise Risk Captive Pioneer, Mr. Tarter and his company are taking the lead function in defending captive coverage groups from IRS attack.
