Taylor Lawrence Grooms become born and raised in Berkeley County in Bonneau, S.C. He attended Berkeley County public schools from grades K-12, and is an Honor Graduate of Timberland High School. After Timberland, Taylor attended Clemson University where he received a Bachelor of Science diploma in Political Science. From there, he matriculated to the University of South Carolina School of Law where he graduated with Cum Laude honors and made the Dean’s List for 5 consecutive semesters.
After regulation school, Taylor served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Roger M. Young, Sr. During this time, Judge Young served because the Chief Business Court Judge, and also the Chief Administrative Judge for both the Ninth Circuit (Berkeley and Charleston County) and Fourteenth Circuit (Allendale, Hampton, and Colleton County).
