Sean is certified to exercise country courts in North Carolina and Washington State (presently on inactive reputation), and within the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eastern District of North Carolina, and Western District of Washington Federal Courts.
A graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, Cecil represented the regulation college in a country wide moot courtroom opposition at UCLA in 2005 after placing first in the intra-school opposition. After regulation college, Sean s first task became as a public defender, there he found out a lifelong ardour for assisting the underprivileged and thinking authority. Lawyer Cecil has been lead recommend in several jury trials, has correctly argued motions in severa crook and civil instances, and has represented customers in state and Federal courts in addition to countless administrative proceedings. He continues to fulfill his ardour for indigent protection as a member of the CJA panel offering federal criminal protection to indigent defendants within the Eastern District of North Carolina.
In 2012 the Northwest Indian Bar Association presented Mr. Cecil with an award for exquisite pro-bono contributions associated with his paintings on the Urban Indian Law Clinic at the Chief Seattle Club. He is a member of the Water Protector s Legal Committee, formed in reaction to environmental injustice related to pipeline placement and threats to native international locations sovereignty.
Sean moved to North Carolina in 2014 to be towards his spouse Kathryn s own family. They presently live in Raleigh, NC with their two small youngsters and pit bull terrier Lucille.
