Sean McGinley is a trial and appellate attorney. His statewide West Virginia regulation practice includes non-public harm and twist of fate instances, clinical malpractice, coal mine damage and injuries, severe administrative center accidents, commercial and commercial enterprise litigation, and sophistication actions. During his 20 years working towards law, Mr. McGinley has helped his customers recover tens of hundreds of thousands of dollars. He is rated AV-Preeminent by means of Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. McGinley became raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, and attended college at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, receiving an A.B. degree in 1987. He studied regulation at Oxford University (Keble College) in Oxford, England, wherein he acquired an honours degree in Jurisprudence. After obtaining his law diploma, Mr. McGinley worked at the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia as a regulation clerk, from 1990 thru 1993. Mr. McGinley clerked both for Chief Justice Thomas E. McHugh, and Justice Thomas B. Miller. From 1994 thru 1995, Mr. McGinley became a law clerk to the Hon. Charles H. Haden, II, Chief Judge of the USA District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. He has been with the firm when you consider that October of 1995.
Mr. McGinley has been a member of the Governing Council of the West Virginia Law Institute on the grounds that 2001. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. He is also a member of both the West Virginia and Kanawha County Bar Associations. Mr. McGinley has lectured media businesses on First Amendment and defamation problems.
Mr. McGinley and his wife, Ana G. Marino, have two sons, Liam Patrick McGinley, and Colin Sean McGinley. They reside in Charleston.
