Scott Mullins handles litigation within the regions of securities, FINRA arbitration, funding advisers, regulatory compliance, expert licensing, medical insurance, and shareholder disputes. He also mechanically defends individuals and groups in Government investigations and prosecutions concerning these exercise areas.
Prior to joining McGaughey Erickson, Scott become Senior Counsel at a commercial litigation firm, and before that, he labored as a securities regulator in Oregon, where he investigated dozens of registered investment advisers related to the sale of personal placements, earnings assignments, notes, funding contracts, and established settlements. Scott became also move-unique as a Special Assistant United States Lawyer for the U.S. Lawyer’s Office - Oregon to prosecute investment fraud. Previously, he became a Senior Prosecutor in the New Mexico Securities Division, and earlier than that an Assistant Public Defender.
Scott commenced his career with a nationally identified white collar crook protection firm in Houston, Texas, focusing totally on protecting complex federal criminal instances. Given this heritage, Scott became a regional co-chair of the American Bar Association’s White Collar Crime Section.
