As a tax lawyer at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, my function is to recommend clients on a way to lessen tax legal responsibility and restrict exposure to additional taxes and penalties. I propose our commercial enterprise clients in many complicated transactions, which includes triangular mergers, spin-offs, and inventory-for-inventory acquisitions. I also help our business customers in complicated making plans issues, along with analyzing new markets tax credit, drafting opinion letters, and promoting businesses and belongings. I help clients avoid publicity to civil and criminal tax consequences in any respect levels from audit to trial. I actually have represented clients at audit earlier than both the IRS and the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance.
