Sam commenced his legal career auditing court docket guardianships, conservatorships and probate estates in Multnomah County Circuit Court. He joined the firm in 1987 to recognition on the ones troubles, long-time period care fee planning (along with Medicaid) and to advocate on trust and property management. Currently he additionally has many customers for estate making plans and inheritance/estate tax recommendation. Sam is one of the original members of the National Academy of Elder Law Lawyers.
Sam has always dedicated a number of time to public policy troubles. Sam has served on committees that drafted the guardianship and conservatorship statutes, drafted the probate accounting policies, organized the Oregon Trust Code statutes, and numerous committees to study proposed Medicaid guidelines. Sam has lectured in more than a dozen continuing education training for different Oregon attorneys, provided to many assist and social organizations and been a normal volunteer for the Senior Law Project. He is a member and former Chairman of the Agency and Professional Relations Committee of Elder Law Section of the OSB, a member of the Executive Committee of the Elder Law Section, a member of the Uniform Trial Court Rules Committee of the OSB and serves on the Probate Advisory Committee for Multnomah County.
