RENÉ S. ROUPINIAN is a Partner of the firm and Co-Chair of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Practice Group, and a member of the firm’s Class Action Practice Group.
For over fifteen years, Ms. Roupinian has dedicated her practice to the litigation of Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act cases, representing tens of thousands of personnel who were terminated without enough notice in violation of federal and nation WARN laws. The firm’s WARN practice is country wide and its WARN instances have and hold to cover a wide variety of industries, inclusive of telecommunications, transportation, retail, mining, loan and manufacturing. A majority of the instances Ms. Roupinian litigates are initiated as class moves and are regularly filed in financial ruin court as adversary proceedings.
In 2017, the organization’s WARN Act Practice Group received a landmark United States Supreme Court decision on behalf of one,800 terminated truck drivers. Czyzewski v. Jevic Holding Corp., 137 S. Ct. 973, 977, 197 L. Ed. second 398 (2017). Ms. Roupinian has lectured at the WARN Act and the prosecution of WARN claims as elegance actions in bankruptcy court docket. Ms. Roupinian obtained her BA from the University of Michigan, and her JD from Michigan State University College of Law where she turned into a member of the Moot Court Executive Board.
