Paula C. Roman grew up at the New Jersey shore with four brothers. She graduated with excessive honors and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida in 1973. She labored in various Florida hospitals as a registered nurse in medical-surgical and in depth care devices from 1973 thru 1982. Paula graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1986.
She started out her criminal career running for the Tampa regulation office of Marlow Shofi Smith Hennen & Smith, P.A., working towards insurance defense. She has been a partner of Roman & Roman since 1987. She is a member of the Trial Lawyers section of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of The Florida Justice Association, the Kiwanis Club of Dunedin and the Clearwater Audubon Society. She lives in Clearwater, Florida, and has one son. Paula enjoys water sports, boating, strolling and trekking.
