Born and raised in the Buffalo area, Mr. MacKay is a graduate of Canisius High School. Following excessive college, he attended S.U.N.Y. Buffalo, graduating cum laude and “With High Distinction” inside the psychology branch.
Attending regulation college after taking numerous years off, Mr. MacKay graduated magna cum laude early on an extended tune from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo Law School. While there, he participated in several moot court competitions, such as representing the college in a country wide crook regulation moot court docket competition. In addition, Mr. MacKay interned with the Hon. Timothy J. Drury of the New York State Supreme Court and finished a practice-in depth internship within the felony department of the San Diego County Public Defender’s workplace, where he made severa courtroom appearances, together with actively second-chairing a primary-diploma homicide/go-border kidnapping jury trial.
Following law school, Mr. MacKay labored as a regulation clerk for the Federal Public Defender’s workplace in Buffalo earlier than going on to serve as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Kathleen M. Tafoya in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
