Marla Soffer is Of Counsel at Galfand Berger, LLP. Marla graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Urban Studies and Spanish. She received her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and has been practicing for over 30 years. Marla concentrates her exercise within the regions of workers’ rights, protection, compensation and fashionable non-public harm and incapacity law.
Fluent in Spanish, Marla is a common lecturer in community packages that focus on the rights and protection of employees, product liability claims and fashionable non-public harm matters. She is a consulting legal professional to the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia, and is at the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition. Additionally, Marla served because the Vice President, and is at the Board of Directors of the Mexican Cultural Center. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Fleisher Art Memorial, whose project is to make art reachable to everyone no matter economic approach, background or inventive experience. In furtherance of her commitment to network service and advocacy on behalf of immigrant groups, Marla taught person ESL communication lessons at Southeast Asian Mutual Assistance Associations Coalition (SEAMAAC), and turned into a founding member of Puentes Latino Collaborative of 1st viscount montgomery of alamein County.
Marla is actively involved with many different community agencies. For a few years she served at the Board of Directors and is currently a volunteer lawyer with Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts / Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia. She is a former board member of Nexus Foundation for Today’s Art and is an active volunteer with the Free Library of Philadelphia, Author Events. Marla also, helped organize and facilitate a software for One Book, One Philadelphia, entitled “Collaborating to Improve Community Health and Wellness”.
