She attended the University of Texas at Austin wherein she obtained her undergraduate diploma of Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Ms. Blackwell acquired her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in December of 2007 and became admitted to the State Bar of Texas the subsequent May.
