Leon obtained a bachelor s degree from Texas Christian University, in which he majored in political technology with a minor in records. He acquired his regulation diploma from Texas Tech University School of Law. After graduating from regulation college in 2003, Leon moved back to Fort Worth and based The Law Office of Leon Reed Jr. He is an energetic member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In addition, Leon served as president of the Tarrant County Black Bar Association (now referred to as the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association) from 2008-2009.
