Lara Leitner handles felony topics concerning CEQA, NEPA, RLUIPA, environmental law, and litigation.
Prior to becoming a member of JMBM, Lara turned into an associate at a municipal law workplace where she represented numerous towns and special districts in complicated litigation matters, along with actual estate, eminent domain, breach of settlement, environmental, water, and employment cases in both kingdom and federal courtroom.
Lara obtained her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. She served as the Comments Editor for the UCLA Journal of Environmental Law & Policy. During law school, Lara advanced her land use and environmental regulation experience as a prison research assistant for the UCLA Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and as a law clerk within the Environment Section of the California Office of the Lawyer General in Los Angeles. Lara additionally studied overseas on the University of Melbourne Law School in Australia and interned at the Hong Kong Dolphin Conservation Society wherein she counseled the organization on compliance with Hong Kong’s environmental effect reporting requirements.
