Kellie Mannette has been committed to defending the rights of the accused her entire profession. As a regulation scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she become the co-president of the Innocence Project. While interning at the North Carolina Center on Actual Innocence, Ms. Mannette investigated publish-conviction claims of innocence. Additionally, Ms. Mannette interned at the Wake County Public Defender’s Office, helping inside the representation of indigent people in district court docket. Ms. Mannette defended juveniles in delinquency complaints at the same time as finishing the Juvenile Justice Clinic.
After graduating from regulation college, Ms. Mannette joined the Fair Trial Initiative as an Obsorn Fellow.
