Since 1995, Joe has specialized in ERISA counseling and litigation. He has represented masses of ERISA benefit plan individuals and beneficiaries, in individual benefits suits, breach of fiduciary obligation litigation, and ERISA class movement litigation. From 2003 to 2005 he represented america Secretary of Labor in ERISA litigation and investigations.
In 2012, Joe gained the California Lawyer Lawyers of the Year (CLAY) award. In 2019, Super Lawyers magazine ranked Joe among the Top one hundred Northern California Super Lawyers, after such as Joe as an employee advantages Super Lawyer for six years jogging.
