About
Ms. Burton graduated with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Tennessee and obtained her law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law faculty, she acquired the award for Best Oral Advocate in 2003 and become named the Associate Chief Justice of the University of Memphis regulation faculty as Moot Court Board. Also at the same time as in law school Ms. Burton become a National Environmental Moot Court semi-finalist and completed an internship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Tennessee, a clerkship within the Corporate Legal Division with Servicemaster, Inc. and a summer time clerkship with The Bosch Law Office, P.C., specializing in complex criminal protection litigation, such as demise penalty protection. Upon graduation she was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2005.
Ms. Burton commenced her exercise with Rice, Amundsen & Rogers, P.L.L.C., a boutique Domestic Relations corporation located in Memphis, Tennessee, where she was a member of the Memphis Bar Association. Ms. Burton back to the East Tennessee area to be closer to her family. Her number one exercise areas encompass circle of relatives law, social protection law and adoptions. Ms. Burton is a member of the NOSSCR and the Tennessee Bar Association. She is also a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church.
She is now the proprietor of Burton McKinnish, PLLC (est. 2008)- a multi-workplace law office which serves all of East Tennessee.
