James S. Sweeney is the founder and handling member of James Sweeney Law, LLC. A local of Central Ohio, James was born in Columbus and grew up in Marysville.
Prior to starting his personal practice, James labored on the Franklin County Prosecuting Lawyer’s Office. While in regulation school, he additionally labored at the Reynoldsburg City Lawyer’s Office, wherein he served as a Prosecutor at the Reynoldsburg Mayor’s Court, and also worked on the Ohio Lawyer General’s Office. He formerly served as the Village Solicitor of Alexandria, Ohio.
Prior to attending law school, James lived for several years inside the Washington, D.C. region where he worked on Capitol Hill for United States Senator John Breaux and interned for Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.
James graduated Marysville High School in 1999, after which he attended Ohio University in which he graduated in 2003 with a diploma in History. He graduated from Capital University Law School in 2010.
