I commit my exercise to at least one region: criminal defense. From visitors offenses such as riding whilst impaired to extreme felonies, inclusive of homicides. I ve defended hundreds of clients and in every and every case understood and preferred the significance and duty to every consumer. I am committed to ensuring that the customer achieves the pleasant feasible final results. I am the only attorney in Carteret County licensed by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in State Criminal law. In 2010, my friends identified my know-how inside the subject of Criminal Law by using voting to encompass me in the Legal Elite in Business North Carolina Magazine. I started out my career as an assistant district attorney in Carteret County and for the first 5 years prosecuted the enormous majority of each criminal jury trials and misdemeanor trials in Carteret County I am certified to exercise before the North Carolina State Courts, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and the USA Supreme Court. I grew up in New Bern, North Carolina, graduated with a degree in business from Wake Forest University in 1987, cum laude, and received his law diploma from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1992. I am a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, Criminal Justice Section, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, Criminal Defense Section, 3B Judicial District Bar and has served as its president, Carteret County Bar Association, Eastern North Carolina Inn of Court, and Lookout Rotary Club. › ›
