Jim Toohey is a companion at MacDonald Illig, where he represents and advises individuals, companies and creditors in a extensive kind of real estate and company matters, along with residential, business, industrial and multi-unit transactions; business leasing; and industrial and residential lending. In addition to his representation of individual shoppers and sellers of residential actual property, Jim has great experience in representing builders of actual estate who acquire, finance, develop and perform business, workplace and retail projects. Jim also represents business proprietors in numerous subjects, industrial and actual property mortgage creditors in financing business and actual estate loans, and business landlords and tenants at some stage in the lease negotiation method.
Before returning to Erie in 2011, Jim practiced law in Chicago, Illinois for 11 years, first at Bell, Boyd & Lloyd (now K&L Gates), then at Fuchs & Roselli, Ltd. Since his go back, Jim has endured growing his practice, and now represents multiple nearby developers, banks and corporations in addressing their real estate, financing and company desires.
