Practicing ordinarily out of the corporation’s Charleston workplace, Jake’s practice makes a speciality of all stages and elements of real property litigation regulation, as well as business transactions. His experience consists of counseling banks and other lending establishments on various business lending and collection matters, as well as protecting creditors’ rights in financial disaster court cases. He has also represented creditors in subjects related to financial fraud, foreclosure defense, healing title matters, and different commercial enterprise transactions. Jake has also represented title insurance underwriters in South Carolina’s state and federal courts in all varieties of matters. In 2016 Jake completed certification as a circuit court docket mediator through the South Carolina Bar. He has spoken and given displays at conferences regarding creditor’s rights in bankruptcy and actual estate litigation, most recently at the annual South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association annual convention. Jake is a graduate of the 2012 South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy, and presently serves at the Law-Related Education and the Conventions Committees for the South Carolina Bar. He also serves as a choose for Carol N. Ney National Mock Trial Tournament at Furman University. Jake earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of South Carolina in 2005, cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University in 2008. While in regulation college, Jake turned into a George D. Shore Memorial Scholar and a member of the Moot Court Executive Board.
