I became born Montana and grew up in Wyoming. I grew up within the Rocky Mountains, gaining knowledge of to love and cherish the outdoors. During my summers in university, I worked as a wild-land firefighter, touring the western United States on a hotshot crew. I persisted on as a firefighter after graduating, running as a sawyer and squad-boss. Wildland firefighting taught me about intensely difficult work and gave me an appreciation for a hard day’s pay. Sometimes we were forced to work as much as 18 days immediately within the rugged and far off mountainous u . s ., wherein I packed a heavy chainsaw up and down those mountains to cut fire line within the fight in opposition to raging forest fires. It was in the course of this period in my existence I found out the definition of “tough work” and most importantly a way to be dependable to others whose lives and protection trusted it. Firefighting taught me most important lifestyles training on tough work, dependability, trust, credibility, and accountability.
