Elizabeth Barnhard is the Chair of the Pharma/Biotech Practice Group, operating closely with clients to shield new inventions and merchandise, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and biological products and associated technologies. With her many years of pharma enterprise and regulation office enjoy, she helps clients create robust highbrow property portfolios that add cost to their organizations. Having performed, authored and supervised many patentability, freedom-to-perform, infringement, validity, product and production patent clearances within the areas of oncology/immunology, infectious illnesses, virology, central apprehensive system problems, cardiovascular/metabolic disorders, and molecular genetics, she enables her customers arrive at innovative, fee-including answers.
Ms. Barnhard is experienced in preparation and prosecution of organic, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, chemical, chemical engineering and mechanical arts patent programs, management of complex patent portfolios for primary studies and development alliances, and performing transactional and licensing paintings. She is experienced in all stages of litigation and appeals of patent, trademark, copyright and unfair competition movements in federal and nation courts, and Section 337 court cases before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Ms. Barnhard is a Board member and Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property and the Awards Committees of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, a Board member of Mount Carmel Public Utility Company, and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship Journal. Her article, co-authored with Amy Gallup Klann, “Navigating the Sea Changes in Patent Law to Successfully Build Value” become decided on because the Editor’s Choice in the March 2015 problem of Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (Vol. 2, No. 1, pp.14-30).
