Ehud Appel joined the California State Bar in 2018 after graduating with honors from U.C. Hastings College of the Law. He completed his undergraduate research at U.C. Berkeley, majoring in Middle East Studies. Before pursuing a regulation profession, he worked in training, healthcare, and the nonprofit international. He was a union consultant, union organizer, and research analyst for United Healthcare Workers – West and the National Union of Healthcare Workers, where he represented nursing domestic and medical institution workers at some point of the Bay Area in grievances and collective bargaining.
During law college, he externed for the honorable judges Mary E. Wiss and Curtis E. Karnow in the Complex Civil Litigation Department of San Francisco Superior Court. He took part in the Hastings Individual Representation Clinic in which he organized employees for a salary declare appeal trial. He become a research assistant for the Center for WorkLife Law, where he contributed to a federal appellate short. He additionally externed at Legal Aid at Work, in which he suggested community contributors on their rights at wage clinics, and furnished free representation in salary claim hearings and unemployment insurance appeals hearings.
