Derek M. Adams is a partner in the corporation’s False Claims Act (FCA) and Litigation exercise agencies. Mr. Adams represents corporations, individuals, non-income and for-profit groups, universities, and local governments dealing with loads of investigations and prison actions underneath the FCA, and related statutes.
Prior to becoming a member of the company, Mr. Adams served as a Trial Lawyer with the Department of Justice (DOJ), Civil Fraud Section, where he labored on numerous complex cases under the FCA and the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA). In underneath 5 years, his matters recovered more than $2 billion for the public fisc.
Mr. Adams started his legal career at a main Am Law 50 law office, representing customers in high-stakes litigation, together with allegations of securities fraud, common law fraud, fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary responsibility.
Mr. Adams is a speaker at country wide fraud conferences and affords education on the FCA and FIRREA.
