Deirdre W. Edmonds become born in Aiken County, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina and acquired her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984. She attained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1987. Deirdre was licensed to practice regulation within the State of South Carolina on November 23, 1987.
Deirdre started her criminal profession at the law workplace of Bellamy, Rutenberg, Copeland, Epps, Gravely, & Bowers, P.A. in Myrtle Beach, SC. During her ten years with the Bellamy Law Office, she targeted by and large on estate planning, probate, company, tax, business, and elder law. Deirdre practiced with the law office of Kathryn Cook DeAngelo from 1997 until 2001, wherein she persevered to pay attention within the regions of property and disability making plans, elder law and probate. Deirdre become elected Probate Judge for Horry County in November 2002, and turned into re-elected in November 2006 and November 2010. She served as Horry County s Probate Judge till January 2015.
Deirdre has been licensed to exercise regulation in SC for greater than thirty years. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, and a member of the segment on Probate, Estate Planning and Trust and the Elder Law Committee. She is a member of the Horry County Bar Association. She is a former member of the , and the National College of Probate Judges and the S.C. Association of Probate Judges. Deirdre is also a member of the Grand Strand Area Estate Planning Council, the National Academy of Elder Law Lawyers (NAELA), the Carolinas Chapter of NAELA and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. Deirdre previously served as President of the S.C. Association of Probate Judges and at the Probate Judges Advisory Committee at the request of the Chief Justice of the S.C. Supreme Court, the Hon. Jean Toal. Deirdre and her husband have been married for over 28 years and they have three daughters, twins, Jessie and Katherine, and their youngest, Aubrey.
