Deborah (“Deb”) Bowers graduated from the University of Texas in 1974 and acquired her J.D. diploma, cum laude, from the University of Houston, Bates College of Law in 1980. She practiced in New Jersey for numerous years before shifting to North Carolina in 1997. Throughout her practice, Deb has concentrated her practice on creation litigation and, in extra current years, on insurance coverage matters.
Deb is currently serving as Chair of the Insurance Law phase of the North Carolina Bar Association for 2018-2019 and has been named as a North Carolina SuperLawyer within the subject of insurance regulation. She is a licensed advanced court mediator and has served at the board of administrators for the North Carolina Association of Defense Lawyers in addition to having chaired the Construction Law practice group for that agency.
