A self-professed “Air Force brat,” Deborah Moy turned into born inside the Philippines and spent her childhood living in Gainesville, FL (Go Gators!); Dayton, OH (Go Reds!); Fairfax, VA (Go ‘Skins!); and Greensboro, NC. Deborah’s maternal grandmother, Eva Jones, changed into a tobacco sharecropper in Eastern NC, who raised 9 kids on her own. Deborah graduated from the UNC-Greensboro, wherein she earned her degree in English in 2003. In 2016, Deborah graduated from Elon University School of Law, receiving her J.D. as a Dean’s Scholar. She served as a scholar mentor, helped form the Elder Law Society, and turned into the Notes & Comments Editor for the Elon Law Review. Notably, Deborah’s scholar notice become selected for e-book inside the Elon Law Review.
Deborah labored with the Veterans Affairs and the Wounded Warrior Project; her heart has usually been in public service. She perspectives the criminal career as “the carrier enterprise on steroids,” and is aware of that a part of being a fantastically effective lawyer is contributing to the community. In addition to working towards regulation, Deborah speaks about the importance of desire and the power of positivity, and works seasoned bono hours to assist in disaster healing.
