Benita N. Jones is at first from eastern North Carolina. She attended magnet colleges in Raleigh and graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham. She holds a Bachelor of Arts diploma from Yale University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. Ms. Jones is admitted to exercise law in North Carolina and Virginia and before america District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina. Her practice consists of illustration of public faculties and other academic establishments. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Prior to becoming a member of Tharrington Smith, L.L.P. in September 2011, Ms. Jones completed a -year Education Law fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Law, in which she labored immediately with customer groups to sell equality of training in faculty districts for the duration of North Carolina.
