Ms. Appiah earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, cum laude. Prior to attending regulation college, Ms. Appiah worked as a felony assistant and paralegal for the U.S. Small Business Administration - Disaster Assistance Office in Niagara Falls, NY. The Disaster Assistance Office provided federal loans and presents to folks that suffered bodily harm to their homes and bodily and/or economic harm to their corporations due to a natural disaster. Lawyer Appiah earned her regulation degree from Albany Law School in Albany, NY, in 2003. It become there that she received big appellate experience. She interned with the Albany County District Lawyer s Office Criminal Appeals Division, for the Hon. Thomas J. McAvoy within the U.S. Northern District Court of New York, in addition to with the Corporations Division of the New York State Department of State.
After finishing regulation school and moving to Florida, Ms. Appiah worked for a trendy practice organization from 2003 - 2004. Since 2005, Ms. Appiah has reduced in size with the tenth Judicial Public Defender s Office as a Special Assistant Public Defender on prison criminal appellate instances. From 2005 to 2009 she labored as a Program Lawyer for the 6th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program and Statewide Program. The Guardian ad Litem Program represents the quality interest of kids in juvenile dependency instances regarding abuse, abandonment and overlook.
Ms. Appiah has been a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, Fred G. Minnis Bar Association, the Pinellas County Chapter of Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She has served on the forums of Creative Clay and Gulfcoast Legal Services. She currently sits at the board of the League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area
