Aida become born in Matamoros, Mexico and got here to america along with her circle of relatives at the age of 4. Aida acquired several awards while at St. Mary’s Law together with the Pro Bono Service Award, Dean’s Scholarship, Blask Fellowship, and the Henry B. Gonzalez Outstanding Achievement Award, presented to at least one St. Mary’s Law Student by using the Hispanic Law Alumni Association. Aida began her criminal career as a prosecutor at the Cameron County District Lawyer s Office, ultimately becoming the head of their Domestic Violence Unit. As a result, Aida evolved a passion for advocacy and currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors for Friendship of Women, a nearby battered ladies s shelter, and at the Board of Directors for the Cameron County Child Advocacy Center-Maggie and Monica’s House. Aida then decided she needed to research civil law to grow to be a nicely-rounded legal professional and joined a neighborhood civil law workplace in 2014 in which she specialized in scientific malpractice litigation.
